Terrazas de la Torre Golf Resort – Recent Housing Construction

Saurines, the best golf course in Murcia

Since its inauguration in 2011, it has become a benchmark in the area.

Among the most outstanding facilities of the Las Terrazas de la Torre residential complex is Saurines, an 18-hole, par 72, semi-desert style golf course, designed by Jack Nicklaus.

Its design makes it based on the surrounding landscape and its main features are its wavy and green fairways between sand dunes and greens with impressive moldings, some bunkers and its impressive 6-hectare central lake.

Saurines is a great contribution to golf courses in this area and is well worth a visit. Since its inauguration in 2011, it has become a benchmark in the area, being very careful, offering good facilities and very entertaining greens. Placement and strategy are fundamental to the game in this field. Holes 9 and 18 run through the lake, which guarantees an exciting final.

Semi-desert style

This golf course is built on an area of 69 hectares. It has great similarities with the desert fields of Las Vegas and Arizona designed, also, by Jack Niklaus, but with a difference and that is that Saurines has a philosophy of linked holes.

This field integrates perfectly with the landscape full of native species, trees and plants with low water consumption. The lake, has an area of 37,700 m2 of water sheet, sinuous forms, enters the golf course and extends in front of the apartments.

In addition, Saurines, managed by the UGOLF company, will have, thanks to an agreement recently reached with Powakaddy, a fleet of electric handcarts FW3s. These cars will be available to players so they can enjoy their experience on the golf course to the fullest.

Casón rural Los Saurines

This golf course owes its name to the former Casón Rural de Los Saurines. It is a building, located in the middle of a residential complex that is cataloged for its historical artistic and environmental interest. Its rehabilitation is planned in the future to be used as a winery and visited as a kind of “museum” that shows the traditional ways of life of the Campo de Cartagena.
